Maury Tiller Appointed Director of Systems Engineering at ExaGrid

ExaGrid has appointed Maury Tiller as Director of Systems Engineering for the Americas West, adding one of the most experienced pre-sales and solutions engineering leaders in enterprise technology to its team.

Tiller brings a career spanning more than two decades across three of the most respected names in enterprise infrastructure. He comes to ExaGrid from Palo Alto Networks, where he served as Manager of Sales Engineering, contributing to one of the most recognized cybersecurity platforms in the market. Before Palo Alto Networks, he spent four years at Pure Storage in a series of progressively senior roles, beginning as a Data Architect, advancing to Senior Manager of Data Architects, and ultimately serving as Director of Solution Architects for Cyber-Resiliency, North America. In the latter role, he led a regionally focused team of technical subject matter experts responsible for driving adoption of modern data protection and cyber resilience solutions across enterprise accounts.

Prior to Pure Storage, Tiller spent 20 years at NetApp, including more than eight years as Senior Manager of Solutions Engineering in the Dallas-Fort Worth market. A two-decade tenure at one of the world's leading data infrastructure organizations reflects a depth of institutional knowledge and technical leadership few professionals in this field carry.

Across these roles, Tiller built a career defined by the ability to lead technical teams through complex sales cycles, translate sophisticated infrastructure solutions for enterprise buyers, and build high-performance pre-sales organizations grounded in accountability and results. His expertise spans cybersecurity, cyber resilience, data analytics, and multi-cloud architecture.

ExaGrid is a natural home for a leader with this background. The company provides the only two-tiered backup storage approach with a non-network-facing tier, delayed deletes, and immutable objects, offering organizations a credible and tested defense against ransomware. ExaGrid was awarded the 2025 Data Backup Solution of the Year by Data Breakthrough and recently released an AI-powered Retention Time-Lock feature as part of its Version 7.4.0 release, extending its lead in intelligent backup and recovery.

As the company continues to invest in its product portfolio and expand its customer base, Tiller's appointment to lead systems engineering across the Americas West positions ExaGrid with a technically deep, commercially experienced leader in one of its most strategically important regions.

Congratulations to Maury Tiller on this appointment.
