Christian & Timbers is pleased to share the appointment of Tom Corn as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Threat Protection at Proofpoint.
Mr. Corn brings over two decades of executive experience spanning infrastructure, cloud security, and platform innovation. His appointment comes at a time when the cybersecurity landscape is facing increasing pressure to align technical innovation with enterprise resilience and board-level visibility.
Prior to this role, Mr. Corn co-founded a startup advancing the security of agentic-AI systems, a domain at the intersection of artificial intelligence autonomy and operational trust. He also served as Chief Product Officer at Ontinue, where he developed and scaled an AI-driven approach to managed extended detection and response (MXDR). Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at RSA and VMware, where he played a central role in developing products that shaped modern workload protection, micro-segmentation, and cyber risk analytics.
At Proofpoint, he will lead the strategy, innovation agenda, and global execution of the Threat Protection business, bringing deep technical fluency, a strong product development track record, and a sharp understanding of evolving enterprise risk environments.
